Salve a tutti! Ho conosciuto da poco il sito di Wookipedia, e devo dire che è molto bello.. peccato che quando ho tentato di iscrivermi mi è apparso un messaggio davvero poco apprezzabile, almeno nella "forma" secondo me. Se vi và leggetevi la discussione che ho avuto con chi gestisce le registrazioni su quel sito, e ditemi se ho esagerato io (possibilissimo, visto che non sono un esperto di informatica nè sono al corrente del linguaggio abituale che si usa per bloccare le persone al momento della registrazione su un sito) oppure (altrettanto possibile) quel tale Greyman. Capisco che il termine Vandals sia una categoria di disturbatori del web, ma perkè specificarne la provenienza? E soprattutto perkè darmi del frustrato in risposta ad una mia, seppur concitata, critica?
NON cerco consensi, vorrei davvero capire se ho sbagliato e dove.. grazie in anticipo a chiunque risponda

Well mr. Greyman.. what can i say about this message.. Starwars is one of the most important example of coexisting races, species, different cultures and so on.. it is a great message of tolerance and peace to the whole world.. so, please, tell me that this message i've just read it's only a joke, or a sort of "jedi" proof to demonstrate that i can keep myself calm and quite even if somebody, like you, thinks to have the right to tell those coward insults to the italian people.
I'm Italian, and i'm proud of it, but i'm NOT a vandal. WE are NOT vandals. Maybe somebody could be it, but you can say the same thing about every single country of the Earth. We got vandals, You got vandals, every country got vandals, but this doesn't mean that you are allowed to block italian starwars fans just because of our nationality. Probably this is only a simple case of misunderstanding. I'm sure you will explain "us" (lots of italians starwars fans) soon what stands behind that orrible example of racism. And don't give me an excuse like "many italians did vandalism on our web", because that is NOT a good reason to block EVERY ITALIAN starwars fan.

Thanks for letting me know about the block. The block itself was done against a wide range of Italian IP's directed against a serial-vandal/troll who was located in Italy and taking advantage of the IP situation there -- in no way shape or form is every Italian blocked from editing. The block itself was not directed at individual, trust worthy, users like yourself who happen to share one of the blocked IP's with the vandal. The block was done at the request of Wikia Staff, but if you could provide me with your block number and IP address from your block notice, I'd be happy to help out.
That being said, sending me an email with an ignorant/arrogant tone really makes me not want to help you at all. However, because I feel that you are more frustrated than anything, I'll set aside the personal nature that you chose to take with the tone of your email and resolve to help you if I can. So, please, if you want help from me, don't send me a nasty email taking your frustration out on me, because to be honest, I'm more apt to simply delete the email than care -- I didn't even read the whole of your email due to the angry and rude tone you set at the beginning. However, since I did the range block (which I'm not going to revert, since Wikia Staff asked me to do it) I have received emails from a handful of other Italian users who have explained the situation in a nice and calm manner, and ask that I help them. I had absolutely no problem helping them, for the simple reason that they were not immature brats in their emails -- they brought the problem to my attention, and asked if I could help them, which I did. So, please in the future, keep what I've said in mind to you when you are contacting other users who you need help from.
Please provide the information that I listed in the first paragraph, and I can help you out. Thank you,

my "ignorant/arrogant" tone was referred NOT to you, but to the block you've done, and in particular to the FORM you used to present it to the italian people.. you could simply call it "temporary vandals block" without specifyng the source of the problem, that's not all italians people, but just some vandals.. so who cares about their nationality? that's not a relevant information for the users, am i wrong?
You call me "frustrated".. well, i'm a 23 years old student, and i love starwars just like you, and you call me frustrated just because i'm the only one who doesn't stand to read on the web a clear inappropriated FORM of blocking people?
Of course i didn't mean you should delete that block, i was only suggesting you to CHANGE the message with a more appropriated one.. i didn't insult you, please check it on my previous message. You probably did it with your email, calling me "frustrated" ("..taking your frustration out on me..")..
but i hope it was not your intention..

uess what? I did read your whole email afterwards, and you know what? I'm not unblocking you. Why? Because you didn't do what I asked you do, which was provide me with the block number so I could unblock you. So, enjoy your block. I couldn't give a goddamn rats ass if you're a 23 year old student. Being 23 means that you can't be ignorant? Wow...that's ignorance right there. Also, from what you wrote, it pretty plain that you didn't and don't understand what a range block is. All you had to do was provide me the block number, your IP, and your username if you have one. If you had of given me that info, I would have unblocked you in second and not given any of this a second thought. However, you chose to reply implying that I'm a racist and whatnot, and question a system of blocking trolls/vandals that you don't even understand. So, really, enjoy your block -- cause I don't care in the least. I'm through caring about rude and demanding users like you. You know what? All you had to do in your first email was say "Hi there, I see that you blocked me this reason? I was curious if you could help me out. Here is what my block msg says. Thanks for your time." bhe sì secondo me ha ragione lui
come mail di richiesta di chiarimenti sei partito subito in quarta con tutta la pappina su starwars e la tolleranza senza sapere che significasse range block for italian vandal (singolare, non plurale), anzichè chiedere e nel caso di una rispostaccia incavolarti.
io ti avrei bloccato subito invece lui ti ha dato una possibilità e pure dopo che ti ha spiegato tu gli hai risposto male, quindi per me ha ragione
